All students belong to the Student Association and are invited to participate in its activities. The Association has three important functions, all of which aim to facilitate students' progress in the Institute.
- Student meetings provide one of the arenas in which work may be presented to fulfill course requirements.
- The meetings serve as a support group for any Institute related concerns or problems.
- Communication between the Student Association and the deans and faculty about matters of concern takes place at student/faculty meetings held at each convocation.
The Student Association elects a student representative to the Board. The representative to the Board attends the semi-annual Board meetings, participates as a non-voting member of the Coordinating Council and attends the
Board’s Regional Committee meetings when possible.
