PhD Program
Admission to matriculated status in the PhD program is open to qualified mental health professionals who have a master's degree that makes them eligible for licensure to practice in their state of residence, have sufficient practice to sustain the clinical learning in the program, and have malpractice insurance.
Two-Year Certification Program
Admission is open to qualified mental health professionals who have a master’s degree and are licensed or license-eligible.

The Sanville Institute admits each student on the basis of merit. The Institute does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, physical handicap, race, religion, color, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies or other school-administered programs.
Transfer Students to the PhD Program
The Sanville Institute is a competence-based program and all students must demonstrate competency in the required curriculum. A transfer student may not be granted unit credit for courses completed in another institution. However, a student who has developed competence through work in another institution may look forward to accelerated progression through the Institute's program on the basis of advanced readiness to demonstrate competency.
