Sanville - Smith Collaboration

The course Applying an anti-oppressive intersectional lens in clinical practice: A relational/attachment approach is the current collaboration between The Sanville Institute and Smith College School of Social Work. The collaboration began in 2005 and grew out of Jean Sanville’s vision of cross-fertilization between the program she founded and her alma mater.

The course is offered to Smith doctoral candidates and sponsored by The Sanville Institute. It is co-taught by Judith Kay Nelson, former faculty and dean emeritus at The Sanville Institute and adjunct faculty in the Smith School of Social Work doctoral program, and Tanya Greathouse, associate professor and MSW Program Director at Metropolitan State University of Denver and an affiliate faculty member at Smith College School for Social Work.
